Rivers Casino

RIVERS CASINO

ABOUT

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh was looking for an effective way to promote the new interblock gaming technology as well as maintain marketing on traditional games.  Rivers Casino worked with Red Square, a marketing company out of Alabama, looking for a local video production company in Pittsburgh that not only produces high quality video, but also could mobilize a team quickly to produce their next marketing campaign.

PROCESS

Cut ‘N’ Run captured numerous scenes within the casino facility. A RED Weapon was utilized for high-quality video capture. Due to time restrictions, battery-operated LED lights were selected to ensure the production was as mobile and quick as possible. All on-screen talent was handpicked from Pittsburgh talent agencies. Three makeup artists and wardrobe stylists were assigned to the numerous actors and actresses. The RAW 8K footage was edited in Cut ‘N’ Run’s studio along with animation and graphics. All were combined for quick 30-second spots for TV and social media.

FINAL DELIVERY

Cut ‘N’ Run worked within broadcast television specifications and delivered ProRes HQ files so the commercials would be broadcasted in the highest quality with both video- and audio-safe levels.

RESULTS

Rivers Casino has broadcasted the commercials on television, social media, professional sporting events, and more. The campaign ran for a substantial amount of time and had effectively advertised the focused casino experiences set forth in the pre-production strategy.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers

ABOUT

Cast members of NBC’s “This is Us” Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore visited Acrisure Stadium, formerly known as Heinz Field, to announce one of the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ draft picks.  The Steelers organization wanted to use this opportunity to obtain promotional material for NFL Sunday Night Football and for use on their in stadium jumbotron video display. Cut ‘N’ Run was brought on to capture as much content as possible with the talent in two hours, just before the draft pick announcement.

It was crucial to be as mobile and quick as possible, which Cut ‘N’ Run was able to deliver on. Scripts for the promotions were drafted by the Steelers marketing team.

PROCESS

The production began with a green screen shoot then moved to three other locations. A teleprompter was positioned in the first scene but the talent was required to memorize lines or read from cards for the remaining scenes. A Sony FS7 and Steadicam were the most mobile options used to quickly capture each scene and move onto the next. All scenes were successfully shot in the two hour time block.

RESULTS

The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to gather all the necessary content for their marketing campaign in a tight timeline with high quality results.  Their social media campaign had over 125,000 views.

FINAL DELIVERY

The final product appeared on the NFL’s Sunday Night Football broadcast as well as the Jumbotron inside the Steelers’ stadium.  Material from the shoot was also used by the Steelers organization’s social media pages.

Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

ABOUT

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association wanted a solution to broadcast their two-day event without immense costs.  The event features a car show, interviews and multiple races featuring vintage cars competing in a unique city street race track in Schenley Park. Cut ‘N’ Run offered an elaborate setup to cover the races and events using multiple cameras positioned throughout the race.  For interviews, a stage was setup.  In between live races and interviews, pre-recorded content was aired from Cut ‘N’ Run’s studio to keep the audience watching on TV and the internet entertained.

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association’s events are used to raise funds to help provide support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Western PA.  With this in mind, the association needed to find a cost-effective solution to produce and broadcast the races and events.

Offering the event to watch live by anyone around the world, the event expanded viewership while generating funds to the association’s cause.

PROCESS

Multiple cameras were positioned throughout the race track at Schenley Park in Pittsburgh.  A drone also provided an aerial view of the race.  The cameras were transmitted from Schenley Park back to our studios in Beechview where the director switched the camera feeds to seamlessly follow the action.  The multicam live stream featured live graphics, commercials, pre-recorded content, replays and advertisements.

Communications from our crew at the race location to our crew back at the studio was handled through two-way radios programmed off repeaters.

The event and races were broadcast live to the web, social media and broadcast television.

In addition to the races, a stage was setup for interviews with event participants and racers.  The stage featured handheld microphones for the on-air guests and a two-camera setup.  The interviews were both featured live and recorded for use later in the broadcast.

Instant statistics were also directly wired to the master station in order to display accurate rankings and times.

Along with the live stream and broadcast, the event was also featured live on monitors placed throughout the park so guests could watch the broadcast live on location.

RESULTS

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix was able to provide their fans at home, around the world and at the event the ability to watch each race and interviews.

With the event coverage, the association now has a tool they can use to help expand their marketing efforts with the goal to expand advertising opportunities and ultimately more funds raised for their charities.

FINAL DELIVERY

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix’s races and events during their two-day event broadcast live on TV, online, social media and monitors placed throughout the park.  Snippets and replays of the races and events were made available for their website and social media, including their YouTube channel.

Eddie Island – “Honey (You Said Love)” Music Video

Eddie Island – “Honey (You Said Love)” Music Video

ABOUT

Audio Network reached out to Cut ‘N’ Run to help produce a music video for 2017 American Idol contestant Eddie Island. Their team created a storyboard and treatment for the music video and sent it to Cut ‘N’ Run for execution. We made a plan to shoot everything in one day with Eddie and his band while the producers at Audio Network remoted in to help direct and make suggestions all the way from the UK.

PROCESS

Tackling one scene at a time, we shot the music video in the most effective manner possible to keep the production to a one-day shoot. Any mess making scenes were captured towards the end.

Two Litepanel Gemini lights were used to create color splashes throughout the music video as well as an LED fresnel to create a spotlight look. We chose our Canon C200 shooting in Cinema RAW Lite mounted to the Kessler Crane Shuttle Dolly and Cineshooter Head to achieve a seamless boomerang slider shot throughout the video. The remaining shots were completed using a handheld shoulder rig.

The post-production process involved working one-on-one with the producer from the UK and exchanging ideas and drafts of the video. The original treatment also ended up changing due to being unable to shoot certain scenes.

RESULTS

We sent the final render of “Honey (You Said Love)” to Audio Network to be posted on YouTube for the official public release of the song.

Eddie Island’s music video for his hit song “Honey (You Said Love)” has been viewed thousands of times on his YouTube channel. The relationship with Eddie has grown to include doing various other works since the initial shoot.

Made Men Promotions

Made Men Promotions

ABOUT

Cut ‘N’ Run established a working relationship with Angelo Magnone, the promoter for the organization Made Men Promotions, via networking through other boxing promotions. He tasked us with putting on a full production for his event on January 29, 2022 titled Rivers Rumble XII at the Rivers Casino Events Center.

PROCESS

After weeks of meetings, planning, and building the show, we were able to produce a three-camera live switch that included a PTZ camera which was built into the events center. The Rivers was able to send an ISO feed to their in-house projectors with the fight card before each match and switch over to the show feed during the matches.

We worked together with a DJ for in-house entertainment and also deployed a multi-angle replay system, up-to-date graphic overlays, and an audio mix to ensure quality sound throughout the night.

RESULTS

The fights were streamed via pay-per-view to the Made Men Promotions website as well as their Facebook page, expanding the reach to as wide of an audience as possible for this type of broadcast. Upon completion of the event, Cut ‘N’ Run provided videos of each fight individually for further pay-per-view offerings.
